We are very proud of our pathway that has seen hundreds of children gain the confidence and skills to enjoy their bikes safely. Delivered in a fun, stimulating learning environment our focus is always on your child's development and enjoyment of being on a bike!

BALANCE BIKE BEGINNERS (AGES 2-4 YEARS)

 

Want to give your child the best start to their cycling journey?

 

Our balance bike beginners course is designed to do just that! These classes start at age 2 to learn the fundamental skills of riding a bike using balance bikes as well as improving motor skills including balance, co-ordination and spatial awareness. Once children can successfully ride a balance bike by lifting their feet up to balance and steer the bike they can then progress onto our Transition to pedals course.

Q: DO I NEED TO BRING A BIKE? Balance bikes provided or use your own.

 

TRANSITION TO PEDALS (AGES 4-7)

 

Struggling to teach your child to cycle?

 

Are they a whizz on their balance bike and the time has come to transition onto pedals? 

Our hugely popular course is 

designed for children to make the transition from balance bike to riding their own pedal bike confidently and safely in 6 weeks. With the best support and advice around there will be no stopping (or catching them) upon completion!

Q: DO I NEED TO BRING A BIKE? Balance bikes provided for the first 3 weeks, children older than 6 please bring a bike with pedals removed to use for this stage, own bikes required week 4 or as advised by coach.

 

WHEELERS IN MOTION

It's time for the final stage of your child's journey...

Our Wheelers in motion classes are designed for children who have

recently learnt to ride a bike independently. The aim is to gain confidence and have fun on their bike whilst improving key riding skills including setting off, handling, braking and cornering, giving you piece of mind that your child will be safe to cycle to school, in parks and off road cycle paths.

 Q: DO I NEED TO BRING A BIKE? Yes own bikes required at all sessions.  

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Please bring your child's own bike helmet to use as these must be worn to take part in all sessions as well as something waterproof as sessions are outside wherever possible. Gloves are also recommended to keep hands warm and to protect your child's hands from scrapes and blisters. Don't forget to bring a drink along as cycling is thirsty work. 

We are passionate about rewarding hard work and progress which is why each week rewards are given out for riders chosen as Mini Wheelers of the week. This includes the chance for our Balance Bike Beginners to take home and look after the Mini Wheelers Bear.

 

On course completion day every child will receive a certificate of achievement to keep as a memento of their journey with us.
